The event was designed to showcase a forward-thinking, industrializing Iraq that was actively repurposing its natural wealth into tangible civil progress and economic self-reliance. To celebrate this monumental national milestone, the Iraqi postal authority released a landmark set of commemorative postage stamps meticulously engraved by the British security printers Bradbury Wilkinson & Company.
